What Are Wooden Screen Printing PlatenSome people call them platens, others call them pallets, regardless of your preference we have you covered! A platen is a board or surface that you place a garment on for printing. wooden platen are effective,economical, and quality products. All Standard Wood Platens are HDF (High-Density Fiberboard) and coated with heat-resistant white laminate.
The Standard Wood Platen comes in a variety of sizes and configurations. From youth platens and standard platens to leg/sleeve platens and koozie/pocket platens, printers will be able to find and expand their printing capabilities.
A platen is a hard waterproof and flat surface that is slid into or behind the object to be printed. It is usually coated with a spray on tacky repositionable adhesive. When fabric is positioned on the platen it becomes hard, immobile, and rigid. This allows the printing to have even pressure across the surface (and thus result in good ink transfer) and keeps the shirt immobile for multicolor printing.
Our platens are made in the China ,cut the any size by wooden laser cutting machine from HDF with white laminate on both sides for heat resistance, and routed edges. there are Kraft paper on both sides to protect the white laminate when delivery. you can peel of the kraft paper before using, then you get the platen with perfect surface.
